New functionalities of the Fees Payment System

In order to satisfy the requests of some Pharmaceutical Companies, the Italian Medicines Agency has decided to add a new payment channel to those already present in the current Fees Payment System (POL).
This new utility allows the users to pay the equivalent to an electronic payment slip directly from their own bank, if this is related to the connected banks circuit. This payment slip is automatically associated to the original POL file with no need to fill in data manually  (self – certification mode).
More details of this new procedure are available in the update user manual; additionally,  through the FAQ section, it is possible to access the list of banks included in the circuit (“Third-party networks”) above mentioned.
Furthermore, the System has been update thus allowing the transparent tracking of the reimbursement of incorrect or not valid anymore payments. This is valid for those reimbursement made from the moment of the release and it will not have retroactive effects.

All users are reminded that the rates indicated in the AIFA/ Ministry of Health  table of charges must  be intended after banking commissions and that it is furthermore necessary to indicate the POL number at the top of the space indicated as “description of payment”.

In addition, only for those making payments from abroad, it is also necessary to specify the correct allocation (title, chapter, article) - depending on the type of the paid fee.
