FEE-FOR SERVICE
Payments to a provider (for example a general practitioner) for each act or service rendered. [Source: PPRI Glossary]
FIXED CO-PAYMENT
An out-of-pocket payment in the form of a fixed amount (like for example a prescription fee) to be paid for a service, a medicine or a medical device. [Source: PPRI Glossary] See also: deductible and percentage co-payment.
FIXED DOSE COMBINATION (FDC) PRODUCT
A combination of two or more active substances in a fixed ratio of doses. This term is used generically to mean a particular combination of active substances irrespective of the formulation or brand.
